The Willye White Park Advisory Council is announcing the Autumn 2026 “Science in Art” Competition. The competition asks Rogers Park elementary students to select a NASA mission and create a work of art inspired by that mission. Entries can be submitted to the Willye White Park fieldhouse at any time beginning October 12, 2026, and ending no later than November 13, 2026. Winners will be chosen by vote of Rogers Park residents. Winners will be announced and the prizes will be awarded at the Willye B. White Park Fieldhouse on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.

This year’s competition requires you to select an active, future or past mission
of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and create a two-dimensional
artwork inspired by or interpreting that mission. (NASA missions are found at
www.nasa.gov/missions/.) Submit your original artwork with this entry form to the
Willye White Fieldhouse beginning October 12, 2026, and ending no later than
November 13, 2026.

Submit your original artwork along with an entry form to the Willye White Fieldhouse beginning October 12, 2026, and ending no later than November 13, 2026.

Winners will be awarded the following prizes:
- 1st Place: $100.00 Gift Card
- 2nd Place: $50.00 Gift Card
- 3rd Place: $25.00 Gift Card
Eligibility
This competition is open to all elementary students, or home school equivalents, attending school in Rogers Park.
Deadline
All entries must be received at the Park no later than November 13, 2026.

Notice and Contest Rules
Judging
Contest winners will be determined by vote of Rogers Park residents. Art entries can be viewed at the Willye White Fieldhouse during the viewing period from November 14, 2026, until noon on November 21, 2026, or at the Willye White PAC website (www.willyebwhitepark.org). Community members can vote at the Willye White PAC website. Winners will be announced at 3:00 p.m., on November 21, 2026, at Willye B. White Park Fieldhouse.
Competition Rules
- Your original artwork must interpret or draw inspiration from a NASA mission that you select. Your entry form must indicate the mission on which your artwork is based.
- All artwork must be original work, and no larger than 11” x 14”, twodimensional and flat.
- If you use chalk, pencil or similar material please ensure your work is enclosed in a sleeve to prevent damage.
- Do not use glitter. Entries using glitter will not be accepted for judging.
- Only Rogers Park elementary students, and home school equivalents, are eligible for entry in the competition.
- Entries must be received at the Willye White Park Fieldhouse beginning October 12, 2026, and no later than November 13, 2026. Community members may view the art works and vote on their favorites from November 14, 2026, through noon on November 21, 2026. Votes can be made at the Fieldhouse or on the Willye White PAC website (www.willyebwhitepark.org).
- All decisions by the Executive Committee of the Willye White Park Advisor Council shall be final.
